Software Development Engineer
I build distributed systems at AWS CloudFormation and ship side projects that scratch a real itch. Seattle, WA.
Who I am and what I build.
I'm a software development engineer on AWS CloudFormation in Seattle. I work on the systems that provision and deploy infrastructure across large numbers of accounts, which means a lot of deployment orchestration, on-call rotations, and the unglamorous scaling work that keeps thousands of accounts deploying reliably.
In my free time I play a lot of sports, mostly basketball, soccer, tennis, and golf. I also build personal projects that cut friction out of my own life, including the ones here, like a Mac dictation tool, a match-day organizer for my soccer team, and Grind, an app I built to study for interviews.
Things I've designed, built, and shipped.
Offline-first interview-prep drill (system design, coding, behavioral, company-specific) built on Leitner spaced repetition. Universal Expo app for iOS, Android, and web, with optional Supabase cloud sync, a global leaderboard, and a RevenueCat premium tier layered behind an on-device state seam.
An editorial match-day board for grassroots 11v11 football. Share a public RSVP link in your team chat, watch replies land in real time, then build the starting XI on a drag-and-drop tactics board and export it as PNG or PDF.
A menu-bar dictation app for Apple Silicon Macs. Hold a hotkey, speak, release, and the text appears at your cursor in whatever app is focused. Runs a polished batch mode (local Whisper transcription plus Bedrock cleanup) or a fully-offline live streaming mode.
A personal data pipeline that consolidates restaurant spending across Bank of America, Chase, Capital One, and Venmo from PDF statements, then computes per-restaurant stats: visits, total spend, average ticket, first and last visit, and cards used.
A Rocket League trading price scraper that texts you SMS updates on the prices of specified items at set intervals. Runs daily on AWS Lambda and delivers the latest prices via Twilio.
An automated job-searching bot that scans listings and streamlines the application hunt.
A program that visualizes extended Spotify streaming history, turning years of listening data into charts and insights about your habits.
A Windows Forms app that logs into an Instagram account and reports who does not follow you back, using an automated Selenium-driven login and data-gathering flow.
